Hey guys, we are discussing preparing a Coconut laddus recipe at home. Coconut is a well-known edible fruit that is rich in taste and nutrition. Phosphorus, magnesium, calcium, Vitamins A, B6, and E, Omega-3 fatty acids, dietary fibres, and carotene are the micro and macro nutrients found in a fully developed coconut.
The water and pulp in green coconut are rich in nutrients. The white pulp, watery fluid, and creamy liquid are the edible parts of coconut. In South India, coconut is abundantly used; in every South-Indian dish, such as chutneys, dips, dosa, idli, sambar, upma, etc., coconut is garnished or topped. Actually, the presence of coconut enhances the flavour. In addition, coconut is used as a significant ingredient in many dishes.
Coconut laddus, Nariyal laddu, is a tasty and mouth-watering dessert. In many festivals, coconut laddus is of great importance. It is used as a prashad ingredient in worshipping. Coconut sweets are prepared in many shapes; they can be square-shaped, rectangular, or round. Here, we will be preparing coconut laddus that is round.

Ingredients for coconut laddu
- Grated coconut- 4 cups
- Condensed milk/khoya- 2 cups
- Ghee- 1 tablespoon
- Cardamom powder- 1 teaspoon
- Blanched pistachio- 1 tablespoon
- Sugar- 2 cups
Methods of preparation for coconut laddu
- First, heat a frying pan and add ghee. After a minute, add grated coconut and khoya to it, and cook on a low flame.
- Now, sprinkle some cardamom powder on it and stir well. Heat a vessel and add 4 cups of water and 2 cups of sugar. Stir it until it forms 1 cup of condensed sugar syrup.
- Pour the coconut mixture and blanched pistachios into the sugar syrup and mix well. Make sure that the sugar syrup is as appropriate as the coconut mixture.
- Now turn off the flame and put the laddu mixture on a plate. Let it cool for 20 minutes.
- After that, apply some ghee to your palms and take a lemon-sized amount of the laddu mixture. Using your hands, make it round and keep it on a plate. Do the same with the left mixture.
- It will make 15-20 laddus. Now, keep the laddu plate still for ½ hours. You will notice that your laddus have become harder outside and spongy inside.
